“Certification”, “notarisation”, “authentication”, “attestation”, are all words frequently used in relation to the services of a notary. Generally, this is required to enable documents to be accepted abroad by courts, registries and other public bodies or contractual partners. The idea is that the notary should verify or prove the proper execution of legal documents.

Signatories must produce evidence of their identity such as a passport and, if they are signing on behalf of a company, also evidence of their authority to sign.

Greenfield Notary offers notarial certification of documents for private and corporate clients, for any jurisdiction worldwide. We aim to ensure that the document and the notarial certificate meet the particular requirements of the country where it is to be used. This includes arranging on request for legalisation of the document, which is done by the Foreign Office and/or the consulate or embassy of the relevant country.

The form of the notarial certificate, the evidence that must be produced to the notary, as well as the overall cost and the time it takes for the document to be ready all vary according to the type of document and the country in which it is to be used. Please call 020 7692 0838 or 020 7096 0905 or send an enquiry for more information.
